About Reset Therapies
Mission

Reset Therapies is committed to providing a compassionate and client-centred approach to assist people to navigate their challenges and achieve not just mental health wellness but to reach for the best version of themselves. By creating a safe and supportive space, we seek to empower those on their therapeutic journey to explore themselves and their world more fully and to live more satisfying and meaningful lives. Together we work towards growth, healing, and personal development.
Method

By working with what is present in your life right now, as well as what emerges in the process of exploration in the therapy room, we will engage with you as a curious and interested partner to help you navigate some of the more challenging, perhaps painful and potentially scary parts of yourself and your life. Through bringing awareness to behaviours and emotions, to automatic thinking, patterns, responses and reactions—to all of the sometimes hidden parts of our selves—we believe we are all able to achieve greater wholeness and sense of self and ultimately greater choice and freedom in our lives.

Psychotherapy Practice Philosophy
We all have the capacity to adapt, grow or transform, and to meet the challenges of our life. Yet sometimes the way through and forward might be just out of reach. Through dialogue and creative therapeutic engagement, we will explore what is present for you in your life right now and the parts of yourself that might be out of awareness. Our life experiences are shaped by a series of past and present experiences—influenced by creative adjustments and coping mechanisms that we adopted largely in our developmental years, some of which may have been maladaptive and embedded into our programming, usually automatically and unconsciously. Our aim is to help raise awareness and assist with developing updated ways of responding to yourself, others and the world so you can move closer to your treatment goals and to yourself.
Some More About Andrew
Andrew has spent over two decades observing, understanding and working with himself (as well as professionally with others) to be more integrated and in greater harmony with himself. It took a major crisis all those years ago, and then many crises since, to guide him into any kind of inner-work practice. He has been and continues to be committed to the continual exploration, acceptance and transformation of himself for a greater experience of his life. Through examining the philosophical, spiritual, psychological and physical aspects of his being and the world around him, Andrew more and more becomes closer to authenticity, to the person he desires to be. Better integrated. Andrew is heartened by his own capacity to transform, adapt and grow and is drawn to being a part of the transformational journeys of others, however large or small.
It’s as though, since birth, we started constructing a home, a temple, a fortress…and other extensions and add-ons…around our core self. Initially there were doors, windows and rooms, the usual fixings. For some of us, our developmental experiences demanded panic rooms, underground escape tunnels and other sophisticated devices. Some of our structures were built haphazardly and on shaky foundations, some quite robustly and impenetrable, albeit in haste and with little regard to the long-term. They have endured storms and cyclones, battering rams and general wear and tear over the course of our lives. Some structures have been reinforced during moments of repeated exposure. While others have deteriorated or toppled. Invariably, for many of us, they have left a pile of wreckage piled on top of our deeper selves. As a result, clear access to our best self has become somewhat obstructed.
And so some gradual and intentional clearing of the wreckage may be required. Carefully and attentively, with the help of trusted guides, we clear pathways and allow more light and access into the dwelling that houses our true self. We may also rebuild more fit for purpose architecture with new foundations, so as to provide more seamless access in and out of our best selves.
